Things are due tomorrow. I plan on finishing up little things throughout the day. Artist Statement has gone through alot of revisions, CV is ready, Pricing is set (I think..) and Signage is ready to go. Knitting knitting and knitting whenever I can. The show will slowly come together. 6 pieces at least will be in the show. Small amount which accounts for trial and error.
Once the written work is sent out I can finish my promotional material. Only things right now that are keeping me going is tea, smokes, friends , good food and a walk once a night to have some time to re think things. Looking forward to seeing everyones work up together in the space.
Figure No. 1
February 16-March 12 The human body is a singular subject that has inspired innumerable creative projects. Five young artists Katherine Bellman, Iris Cho, Faye Darmon, Erin Loree and Sam Singh share their diverse, contemporary takes on the venerated figurative tradition. Viewers can expect a mix of hybrid, metamorphosis, pun and metaphor. Curated by Vanessa Nicholas Aboveground Art Supplies is a proud supporter of the OCADU Student Gallery.
Opening night went quite well. The school was packed,I’m pretty sure we were over capacity in the Great hall. The 4th floor was well organized and professionally presented. It was great to see what everyone else had submitted to the show.
There are still 3 more days of the Exhibition, information can be found on the OCAD website.
Now finally I have time to come up with a body of work I am proud to use for my portfolio to get into Grad School @_@ On the side I also hope to start writing art reviews and post them on my city art blog (which posts to my Twitter Account on the side bar).
Time to eat and find myself a job >.< Going to finish a painting tonight as well
Being as this is my first post I thought it was best to mention a show I’m part of:

I’ve been busy recently with Summer school. But I have been setting aside a bit of time to work on two peices. One is an Oil painting of Nina Arsenault and the other is a charcoal drawing of my Grandmother from the 50’s or so. The drawing is sopose to help with problems I’ve been faceing with the oil painting of her, a late late christmas gift for my Grandfather.
I hope to work on my large work I started this summer (no image of it yet). But I need to finish the paper for Italian Renaissance and have study material all ready, for my sanity. I had a seizue back in October from stress (I guess) and I’ve been trying to avoid from it happening again.
I need to teach myself how to use my DSLR to use in the studio more. Need to get the Manual from home (Bowmanville) at the end of the month. Will be useful as Thesis is just around that corner.
I’m going to clean now, my room is a mess. My studio has…. books init and papers as you can see. Floors going to need a good sweep and mopping. Going to possibly make a sandwhich and start that now.
Before I go. For posts, I will try to post when I have something to show or say. I might review other shows or write about artists (old and new). We will see how it goes.
Off for dinner , Have a good night!
